Ford Taunus and the Bad Guys

Text: NIEDERKAPPEL (OOEN ro). The day was spoilt twice for a hit and run victim Tuesday evening in the Muehlviertler Niederkappel (district Rohrbach ) : After the car of the Gerhard A. (42) from Kirchberg had been rammed by an obviously drunk Driver , he was threatened later by his opponent with a pistol. The search for the escaped driver Christian Manfred G. (33) from Wels was successful yesterday evening.
Had begun it Tuesday against 18.30 o'clock, when the Ford Escort of Gerhard A. was touched in Altenfelden by a Ford Taunus on the opposing lane. The rear view mirror went to pieces. The obviously strongly intoxicated driver didn't even bother to stop. Gerhard A. turned immediately and took up pursuit. After several kilometers A. had actually caught up the "accident opponent" in the proximity of the quarry in Grafenau in Niederkappel and had stepped out of his car - he shoudn't have done so: Gerhard A. had hardly stepped out, when G. pulled a pistol, loaded it and threatened the 42-year old: "If something arises, you can it select, where i shoot you " A. thereupon entered his car without further duscussions and drove on.
G. fled toward Linz. In Feldkirchen finally was his final stop: The Ford Taunus flew from the road and landed heavily damaged in the field. G., who should have begun a severam month lasting prison sentence in February, was seized yesterday evening , when he returned to his car.

At the Linzer Südbahnhof-market ended a wild pursuit in the night to Sunday - at least for the police: The law enforcers had taken a curve too fast on the hunt for a high-speed driver and had rammed an iron column . The pursued car escaped and was found empty later, only a few hundred meters away . From the driver and his front seat passenger all traces were missing.
The Driver of a golden Ford Taunus with Licence plate from Perg had stepepd on the gas though the downtown of Linz with nearly 100 km/h Chasing across ther lanes, a police car took up the pursuit.
With the Südbahnhof-market the chase ended for the cops, the car was unable to move after a collision with a column with blue lights on.
The Ford was found later in the Starhembergstrasse. A search for the registrant remained without success.
Text: VIENNA. Scene of an armed robbery was in the night to Friday the hotel "President" in the Wallgasse in Vienna-Mariahilf near the Raimundtheater. A 25-year old man stormed into the reception at three o'clock ,and threatened the Night-Portier Sabry H. (39) with a pistol. He called: "Gimme money , otherwise I finish you off!" The Egyptian handed 36,000 Schilling to the gangster. The man ran away and jumped into a Ford Taunus parking near of the hotel, in which an accomplice waited . The two drove off. Although the portier called the police immediately, the search remained unsuccessful.

Text: VIENNA. To become rich fast and criminally richly was the idea of a Turk last Friday in Vienna. The bank assault, with which he wanted to manage that, first took place according to plan. On the escape with 600.000 Schilling booty he was overtaken by his fate, however. Policemen, who pursued him, rendered the escape car of the robber unable to drive with pistol shots.
Osman Duezguen (Vienna resident, 33 years old),entered the at 10 o'clock in the morning a BAWAG-Bank in 16 in the 10th Viennese district, in which were three employees and a customer with three small children . The man was masked with a sock and used a pistol of the type P 38 (calibers of 9 millimeters). He directed the weapon toward one of the present persons and required money.
The bank clerk handed him 600,000 Schillings, whereupon the robber fled. When he ran from the Bank and stepped into an old Ford Taunus, which he had parked nearby, he was noticed by a bystander. Dragan R.(30) could give the policemen, who showed up briefly after the assault, a specification of the robber car and showrd the officials also the escape direction, thanks to his good observation gift.
