What can we do against hanging doors ?

Hanging doors can have several reasons: Worn out bolts in the door joints, singular events bending the whole hinge-plates, or- as in our case- thermal deformation as a result to weldworks at the front door pillar.

That's where the troubles begin: A worn out striker-pin. Every time you close the door with a decent swing, you chip off a bit of it.

Remove the panel next to the (co)pilot's feet. The rubber seals needs to come off a bit for that.

Well, we'll have a big lever, so small movements here will have large results. For controlling, we mark the original position of the hinge.

Lift up the rear end of the door, the same beeing as much ajar as possible . Then it's time to loosen the 3 screws fixing the hinge (13mm).

After the hinge has moved a bit, retighten.

If the door fits correctly, the clearance "A" should be 2mm .
If that's good, but the door isnt't parallel to the rest of the car's body, your problem has been somewhere else: a misplaced striker plate. Get your philipps-screwdriver and move it.

If nothing helps, you will have to replace the whole hinge, or -if you can- push out the hinge bolt and replace it with an new one.
