How to change old cards in your PC. A special service for our do-it-yourself specialists amongst our Visitors

You will need the following tools

electric grinding disc,

safety google and gloves

tubing pliers

Sometimes it's helpful to have a hammer ready

First, look where the card is located in your PC.

Use a permanent marker to indicate the position.

Now draw a rectangle, about 2 cm wide and 15 cm long. You can use a ruler, if there's no 'SVINTO' box avaliable.

When you're done, it should look like this:

Now, here we go. Cut out the rectangle with the grinding disc. Those discs can be bought in any PC-Store.

...be careful , and don't damage the Tower more than necessary.

After this, you should be able to see the card right in front of you.

Carefully remove the card with the pliers.

This should look like this, but watch for sharp, cutting edges.

The new card comes in just the same way. If it doesn't fit into the spot, a hammer could be helpful.

Close the hole with duct-tape, and you're done !
